What We Do...
Every other Wednesday night starting at around 6:00pm medical students and volunteers from UCR come to the First Congregational Church of Riverside and offer their services to the indigent of Riverside. Our uninsured patrons come from diverse backgrounds. Some have homes and families and others have high school diplomas. They are not the stereotypical dirty, smelly and homeless beggers that we think of. They are united in only that they have no insurance. The volunteers at the Student Run Health Clinic come with the purpose to offer help not only with their immediate health grievances but with their long term health as well. The SRHC offers a variety of programs to help combat the plethora of problems that are endemic in those without insurance. This is what we do.
